Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement pad for the Stromberg Carlson RV Jack Pad system. This is going to replace one jack pad for your equalizer system's leveling system fitting the 11 1/2 inch round jack foot. And this is exactly like the one that you are needing to replace. It's the same design and material and it's directly from Stromberg Carlson so you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of the original. So you're not gonna have any worries about compatibility issues or anything like that. Now this is going to be a relatively easy install.
You wanna lower the legs slightly to allow more room to pry with a screwdriver and to minimize future maintenance issues with your jack foot due to rust. It's a good idea to seal preexisting scratches with a coat of paint prior to installing this pad. And then as you can see there on the depiction there on your screen, you want to insert the screwdriver from the shoe's open end and slide toward the front between the shoe and foot and then push the screwdriver backward to stretch the shoe, bringing the front edge up and over the foot and then reinsert the screwdriver from the shoe's open end and pull forward to bring the back edge up on the foot. And then after installation it's going to stay attached but it can be removed and reinstalled if necessary. Now this is made here in the USA of molded EPDM rubber, so very durable and robust, very strong.
This is not made of crumb rubber that's glued together, so that just speaks to the durability of this pad itself. And let me pull out my tape measure here and just confirm some measurements with you. Looking at the widest point here, measuring the overall diameter as I line this up. As you can see, we are sitting right at 13 1/2 inches with that diameter. There we go.
And then looking at the overall height, we are sitting right at 2 inches tall. So if you're needing to replace a missing or damaged jack pad on your 11 1/2 inch round jack foot on your equalizer system's leveling system, this is going to be exactly what you need. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.
Thank you for joining me.
